Avery at 2 months

It's hard to believe that my new sister is already two months old. Wow, where does the time go. My folks took a bunch of pictures of her since she was in a good mood.

Whenever she makes the squeaking noises or cries, one of the other short people grab one of these things and cram it in her mouth. I also find them tasty but the taller ones seem angry when I try to share them.

Invasion of the 2 year olds

Nate had his good friend Wyatt come over for a playdate. Boy did they drive my Mom bonkers! Here is a picture of the two of them playing car. Nate is driving and Wyatt is "in the backseat."








After a had morning of playing and getting dirty, they had to get cleaned up. Luckily I was able to avoid this - I work very hard to perfect my eau de Bassett odor.

I'm back after a long delay

Sorry for the long hiatus. Things have been very crazy in our household lately. My folks are closing on their new house on Dec. 13. I am so excited to finally get a backyard again. Although I will miss all of the different smells here in the apartment complex, I am definitely looking forward to having a kingdom to reign over.

Since I haven't posted in such a while, I have to back track a little and update everyone on what has been happening. Halloween was quite a success - my sister Madison dressed up as a spider woman, Nathaniel was a 1950's greaser (a la James Dean) . Here is a picture of what the final costumes looked like.

Nate rides a bike!

So today we took Nate out for the first time to ride his bike. The neighbors gave him their old bike and he has been dying to try it out. He still hasn't quite got the whole idea of pedaling yet though - but not bad for the first time!

Avery - 2 weeks in

So it has been two weeks since Avery was born and everyone seems to be adjusting well. My Mom and Dad look pretty tired though, and I have noticed that I haven't been getting as many walks as I used to - I will have to have a word with them about that. Anyway, Avery is looking really cute nowadays, although we can't quite decide who she looks like.

Meet Madison, Nathaniel and Avery

I guess I should first introduce my brother and sisters. My oldest sister, Madison, is 6 yo and has started the first grade this year. Wow, I remember when she was just a wee baby. Some of her favorite things include horses, anything having to do with arts and crafts, and playing with her friends. Here is a picture of Madison with her friend Catherine (Maddie is on the right).












My younger brother Nate just turned 2 yo on August 31. He is quite the dare devil and a big ham for the camera. Here is a picture of Nate taking a bath - acting silly as always!












Last, but certainly not least is my new baby sister Avery. She was born on September 26, 2007. She is very cute and cries a lot, and boy does she like to eat! Here is a picture of Avery when she was getting ready to leave the hospital - this was the first time she had ever worn a dress.

I'm Finally Blogging!

Whew - after months of procrastination, I have finally gotten my blog up and running. Now, what to say. I guess I should first introduce myself. My name is Winston and I am a 3 yo Basset Hound. This is a recent picture of myself here to the left. I have several hobbies, including sleeping, eating, cruising garbage cans, going for walks, peeing on fire hydrants and smelling other dogs butts. We recently moved from Sherwood, WI (a real small town outside of Appleton, WI - 30 miles south of Green Bay) to Cary, NC. Boy, talk about a weather change. I went from 6 months of freezing my rear off to 8 months of sweating to death. I have to say though that I much prefer the weather down here. Right now we are living in an apartment, but my folks just recently sold their house and now we are looking for something new down here. I am excited to finally get my own yard again, however I am going to miss all of my four-legged friends here in the apartment complex. Hopefully where ever my family decides to buy, there will be lots of dogs there.
